Let’s talk about stress.

Stress is a very common subject in our days, because everyone of us have it, some are more stress than others, it depends of the way of living.

Actually we live in a country that is always in a hurry, the people wake up very early in the morning and they arrive to their houses very late in the afternoon. This is because a lot of them have a very long laboral working day or some of them do some extra work, that is exhausting.

So the people do not have enough time for themselves, they are not used to have leisure time and if the have a little time they do not enjoy it very much in family or doing some sports, they prefer to watch TV, clearly that is not a good way of relaxing.

This way of living is not very different for students, because most of them have an exhausting class day. You have so much to do like studing for a test, you have to do a work and a homework all for the same day.
I think that Universities are not considering that students need to do different kind of thing in order to be a complete professional, for example, you need time to read a good book, or to do some sports and do thing that help you to reduce stress.

This is very important because it have influence in how I am going to be as a professional. It is very difficult to change the whole system so we have to start for changing oru way of living, for example spending more of my free time doing those thing that I love like dancing.

Obesity crisis 'cannot be solved by exercise alone'

This post is a summary about an article that I read in the guardian newspaper.

Obesity is an epidemic disease that has increased in the last years.
This article said that in all of the different countries and experts all over the world they recommend to do a lot of exercise for several hours a day in order to loss weight.
This part is very difficult for the people who have this disease because they could prefer to eat less.

Professor John Speakman of the energetic research group at Aberdeen University said that is more effective to reduce the calories that they consume, because if you reduced them in one third this is equivalent to exercising for around five hours a day and that is not possible., it is not real.

In a study that this doctor did, they found that people in the world is not becoming more sedentary this has been the same from about 25 years ago, from the other point or view obesity has risen in the last year as a result of eating more high-calorie food than exercising more not of doing less exercises.

John Speakman said that to recommend exercise is always a good idea because it is beneficial in a lot of aspects of life, for example it protects you against heart disease, type 2 diabetes, osteoporosis and high blood pressure. But if you want that your patients lose weight they will have to start with healthy eating and diets.

So if you want good health you have to combine both of them, eating well and do some sports.
