A horrible 27!

It was a wonderful february friday, I was in the beach house that my parents have in Consitorial, that is a little beach near El tabo.

I was alone with my sister and in that afternoon my parents arrived from Santiago in order to spend some time with us.

My family and I loved the sea and that day when we went to the beach we found it a bit different from the other days, but we didn´t say anything about it.

At night my mother and I decided to see Ricardo Arjona because he was going to present his songs in the Viña Festival, so I decided to stay at home and I didn´t go to any party.

When Arjona´s presentation was over I realized that my mom was sleeping and I went to bed too, because i was too tired.

My dog was next to my bed and at 3 am she started to cry, so I went outside with her.

When I was coming back to my bed the floor started to move very slowly for a while, but then the movement became more agressive, it was definitely an earthquare.

I was very scared, my dad took the car, I put some thing on it like bags and food.

The funny part was that my mother was making the beds while my dad was closing the house, because she was very nervous.

We arrived to Stgo like 3 hours later and we started to call all my family to know if they where OK.

That month was terrible, the TV showed disasters everywhere and a lot of people in the south of Chile was suffering, so I went to Pichidegua, a place near Rancagua in order to help in anything that they needed.

It was a very shoking experience, but I have learn a lot of it, like how to value every simple and litlle thing of life, because every day could be the last one.

  5. Hello Pía!:

Your post was to me funny I laughed with the part when your mother was making the beds, this was so funny!

I imagine that was horrible, I was in Santiago and I felt the earhquake but I think not like in a house where I think that must be were more scared that in a place where I stayed, because I was in a good club that nothing happened and I don´t had the impression of seeing the walls move because I was in a big room.
